A perennial plant of the Rosaceae family, meadowsweet, Filipendula ulmaria Or Spirea ulmaria, is native to Europe where it grows spontaneously in damp places (ditches and river banks).
Meadowsweet, whose flowers are very fragrant, was called “bee herb” in the Middle Ages.
Considered sacred by the Druids in Celtic times, meadowsweet has long been used for its richness in salicylate derivatives which give salicylic acid, a component of aspirin. Moreover, the word "aspirin" is derived from the word "spirea".
Ingredients:
Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) flowering top*, tunic: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose gelling agent.
Precautions for use:
For adults only. Not recommended for people with allergies to salicylates or those taking anticoagulant medication. Not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children. Store in a cool, dry place.
Directions for use:
3 to 4 capsules per day.
