Description
MGD Bio Spirulina Lithotamne box of 150 capsules
Spirulina, Spirulina platensis, is a cyanobacteria traditionally consumed for centuries by certain populations, and still today in Chad.
Formerly classified as a "blue-green algae," it is not strictly speaking an algae, even if for convenience it continues to be referred to as such. It grows naturally in the alkaline waters of certain lakes, in warm areas. Around 0.1 mm in size, it generally appears in the form of tiny green filaments in coils that are more or less tight and numerous, depending on the strain.
It was initially the impressive protein content (50 to 70%) of spirulina that attracted the attention of researchers. During more in-depth analyses, a number of particularly interesting points from a nutritional point of view emerged: balanced protein composition, presence of rare essential lipids, numerous minerals and vitamins.
This formula, which exists exclusively in tablets, combines spirulina and lithothamnium for more calcium and magnesium.

Spirulina (Spirulina platensis) algae titrated to 60% proteins: 500 mg (non-EU origin), lithothamnium* (Lithothamnium calcareum) algae titrated to 32% calcium: 133 mg (EU origin), anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acid.
