Description
MGD organic horse chestnut box of 90 capsules
The horse chestnut tree, Aesculus hippocastanum, is a tree of the Hippocastanaceae family. Native to high-altitude forests from the Balkans to western Asia, in the Himalayas, the horse chestnut is now cultivated as an ornamental tree in temperate regions throughout the world, especially in northern and western Europe.
This robust tree produces large seeds in autumn, also called chestnuts (not to be confused with edible chestnuts, the fruit of the chestnut tree).
Horse chestnut is traditionally used to help maintain good blood circulation in the legs, particularly thanks to the main active compound extracted from it: aescin.
