KAL Methyl Folate contient du (6S)-5-Methyl-tétrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). L’acide folique est destiné à fournir un soutien nutritif pour la synthèse normale et saine de l’ADN, le métabolisme de l’homocystéine et la fonction cardiovasculaire. Les femmes qui consomment des régimes alimentaires sains contenant suffisamment de folate peuvent réduire leur risque d’avoir un enfant atteint d’une malformation congénitale du cerveau ou de la moelle épinière. L’apport en folate ne devrait pas dépasser 250 % de la VQ (1 000 mcg) pour les femmes enceintes.
