Dandelion in nature : Dandelion is a perennial plant with a thick, finger-thick stem and root. The leaves at the base of the plant are deeply divided and toothed, a beautiful green. Dandelion flowers are yellow and visible from May to November. The fruit forms a light, downy ball whose tufts fly away at the first breeze. Common in Europe, dandelion is found on all terrains and can grow up to 3,000 meters above sea level.
History of the Dandelion : In Europe, dandelion leaves have long been used in "purgative" salads. As early as the 11th century, dandelion was recommended by Arab physicians, and around 1000 CE, Arab physicians were already mentioning the medicinal properties of dandelion in their writings. It is also mentioned in a 13th-century British herbal.
