Description
The sapwood of the linden tree actually constitutes the second bark of the plant, having a softer and lighter appearance than the visible bark, which is rather thick and dark.
When sapwood grows in favorable conditions, it is rich in sap and active nutrients, giving it multiple therapeutic virtues. This is particularly the case with the sapwood of wild lime trees from Roussillon, in the Pyrenees.
This plant primarily helps soothe spasmodic pain and is recommended for detoxification treatments. Beneficial sapwood must come from a lime tree at least twenty-five years old, and only the trunks and large branches should be used. The sap rises in June, hence the harvest is carried out between June and August.

An antipyretic
In case of high fever, you can use linden bark. In this situation, it is a good substitute for paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Please note that the plant does not cure infections that cause fever, but it does soothe the body and regulate internal body temperature. It has been shown to be effective in reducing fever in children.
Linden sapwood and emunctories
The body's excretory organs, or purifying organs, are particularly favored by linden sapwood. These are mainly the kidneys, lungs, and liver. The sapwood helps them eliminate toxins and waste from the body.
Linden and sleep disorders
To combat insomnia, use linden flowers. Their calming effect will help you fall into a restful sleep and prevent you from waking up unexpectedly. Linden buds also have this property.
Linden and skin problems
Linden sapwood is also used for skin irritations. It stops itching and cures certain forms of eczema and pruritus. This plant is useful for combating dermatological problems by limiting itching and the appearance of pimples on the skin's surface.
Directions for use:
2 to 3 tablets per day with a large glass of water during meals and as part of a balanced diet. Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
