Description
Our varietal honey in the copper edition offers the ideal introduction to the world of Manuka honeys. With a certified methylglyoxal content of around 30 milligrams per kilogram, it promises the full-bodied taste of tea tree yet is so harmonious that it is wonderfully enjoyed on toast for breakfast.
Origin
The New Zealand islands, with their unspoiled and harsh landscape, are the only place in the world where Manuka tea trees grow. The changing climate, which ranges from subtropical to temperate zones, creates a unique habitat for the broom-shaped plant. Its use has a long history: The first inhabitants of New Zealand, the Maori, were already aware of the therapeutic properties of the leaves, seeds, bark, and even the roots.
Our promise of quality
The quality and origin of our Manuka honey are a top priority for us. That's why we only use honey from selected beekeepers. Beekeepers we know personally and who have worked with us professionally for years.
To ensure and maintain the quality of our honey, we rely on extensive testing procedures. The MGO content is confirmed by independent laboratories in New Zealand and Germany. Our honey is always free of glyphosate and other residues. In addition, studies are conducted on various key parameters for international markets, including enzyme content. This means that: We deliver certified, authentic, and pure Manuka honey according to all national and international standards.
